Last year we created a campaign to tell you all about the importance of blood donations. Through your donations, we donated more than 14 litres of blood!

Why Donate?
  • The NHS needs nearly 400 new donors a day to meet demand.
  • 40,000 more black donors to meet growing demand for better-matched blood.
  • 30,000 new donors with priority blood types such as O negative every year.
  • More young people to start giving blood for the future.
Who Can Donate?
  • The rules for blood donation are now more inclusive.
  • From June 14 2021 the way a donor is assessed for eligibility to give blood was changed.
  • Eligibility is now based solely on one's own individual experiences.
